What I have done since I have owned it:
* ridden it on roads and green lanes - still not done any proper off-road and the NOS tanwall knobblies are still waiting to be fitted.
* washed it a few times - I gave it another wipe over before taking the photos, but it's not 100% clean.
* had someone who's a whizz with forks check over/quick service the MAGs. He topped up the air and set them up for me. He says they are working fine (I don't really ride suspension usually) and they still feel the same as when he did that.
What I haven't done since I have owned it:
* Any disassembly/servicing/deep cleaning. That is usually the first thing I do when I buy a bike, but this was so original and working well that I didn't want to change anything.
* Got around to fitting knobblies and riding it properly.
Things that are not so good:
* The fork finish is good for a MAG of this age, but not perfect.
* The right hand Ritchey clear grip is torn. I was intending to try to glue it enough to keep it together!
* The front derailleur cage has rust spots - should come off nicely with citric acid, but again I haven't removed any parts from it yet.
* The seatpost has some usual zigzag scratching. Given Kalloy Uno is not the most desireable, I guess someone might want to replace it with XTR to make the bike full M900. If I keep the bike I will keep it for originality.
* The left hand shifter is a little sticky, as usual with the Shimano grease gumming up. An easy remedy is just a squirt of WD40 or GT85 in there, but I wouldn't want to do this as the seller might have their own preference. If I keep it, I would probably "do it properly" and open it up and give it a full clean.
* Generally there are a few scuffs and marks, as can be seen in the photos. It's in good condition, but not like new.
I have been in touch with Beverly Hills Bike Shop in L.A. and they confirmed it was originally from them, but they don't appear to have any all records for me to check how close it is to the original build. My assumption from talking with the original owner is that almost everything is as it was built up in their shop. The history is that the original owner's grandfather was working in California and bought this (as I remember, the original owner said their grandfather bought more than one, for a sibling and/or a cousin too) and shipped it back with all the rest of his stuff as a gift. The original owner rode it a little bit, pretty uch just on road, but less and less over the years.

Collection from East Riding of Yorkshire £1800. If you cannot collect, tthere's a good I could deliver it depending on where. There are a limited number of bikes/components I would consider for exchange/part exchange (including an older/bigger Xizang) so feel free to offer, but space is an issue so it would have to be tempting enough for me to offload another bike too.
