I picked up a low mileage but uncared for RTS1 a while back.

It was fairly cheap but low spec apart from a couple of parts.

Frame was dent and deep scratch free so it was stripped ready for attention.

Key as always is too make sure the BB finish is replicated rather than simply polished to a high shine like chrome.


Rear end was desperately in need of paint though.

I'd really like a small one of these (as yours looks to be?) but they seem quite scarce, more commonly 18" versions.

Yes this is a 16 inch. To be fair I think the early 93 steel rear ends are quite hard to come by anyway but yes 16 is deffo rarer still.

If you widen the search to a 94-95 with alloy rear there does seem to be a few about but mostly 18.
 
Good job, looks nice. Again it is a wave of GT projects, but all retro. They were very cool, for me was one of the greatest in the 90s but i-drive kill them.
