As is usually the case, you would get a lot more if you split it. Especially given the upgraded parts. The wheels alone should fetch a good price, plus the mecha and bars of course.

As you probably know, it's one of the less common models in what looks like the Pearl Slate colour. It's a nice frame (same as Karaoram that year iirc) but not being top of range is probably of more interest to someone collecting GTs and wanting one of the rarer ones.

I'm out of touch with actual prices, but if you prefer to sell it as a whole bike it will probably be to someone looking to split it.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your feedback. Very aware I'd get more as parts but the purist sentimentalist in me wants to keep it together and as luck would have it, the bloke that sold the bike to me brand new back in 93 is interested in buying it so it's a kind of spiritual homecoming situation (and yes, I know how bizarre that sounds :D) and he wants to keep it together. He's always done the right thing by me over the years when buying bikes and parts so I want to suggest a very fair price to him (he also has no idea on a price for this kind of bike) but coming up with that number is proving very difficult as the bike is not worth the sum of the parts but it's also worth more than a stock bike that came with substantially lower quality components.
