Thought I'd share a nice early DBM FS I'm working on. A rare NOS survivor that never got built up that I have the please to gingerly try and put together for the first time.
As I found the bike
A detailed search through the parts pile revealed an NOS Answer Manitou 2 fork slated for this frame (same name written on frame an fork box). The fork is neat as it has a custom Titanium threadless steerer and 105mm dropout spacing, the latter something I've never seen on a late production Answer fork. The frame rear is 145mm BTW.
Moving on, I dug up an NOS hubset, custom modified M900 rear and a custom made front hub. The BB is a 145mm Cook Bros Titanium, a custom threadless DBM stem, modified Ringle/DBM post, modified M900 front derailleur and extra long Ringle QRs round out the special parts lot.
I should have taken some better pics, but here is the start of the build thus far.
Rear end during an overhaul and rebuild
Fuselage starting to come together
Refreshing some Grafton parts
