1993 Cannondale M800 BOTE

Time for an update, finally have my all time favorite Cook Cranks (crack free ),trying out an M950 RD, I think it suits the build and shifts smoother than anything I've tried previously. Apart for these changes I swapped the straddle cable hangers to a charcoal grey version.

Are our bikes ever really done ;)?

Love it!
I'm looking for a BOTE frame for my next build.

Just something about polished frames

This is lush. Love polished frames. Working on a slightly older frame myself - a CAD2 from early 00s. But going with a polished finish too and not sure what way to take the build from there.

Great work - jealous! :D

Thanks for all the kind feedback! It's nice to have one bike that just get's all the best parts and a bit blingy to boot. Only weights 19.5lbs.

Making it my lightest build was another goal from the start.

Best of all: I love the way it rides. As will all in my stable, its a proper rider

Final touches

Black Cook Cranks have always been my preference but finding ones in decent condition without breaking the bank did not seem possible perusing eBay the last year or so. As a result I purchased a set with the finish so far gone polishing only made sense. I love the polished version above but had to try my hand at a rattle can black paint job with white decals (let's see how the paint holds up). I posted a question elsewhere on RB about which chainring colour is better: silver or black? Much back and forth (thanks to all for the feedback). While black on black looks great I think silver on black suits the build better.

The other final touch: a repro Syncros Cattlehead top cap in aluminum with Ti bolt compared to the later (stock) plastic version. I think it looks much better, thanks SRP!
