Well, sad to say I don't quite know yet as I have not been able to take it out for a "real" trail ride of any significance. I've only had it back from it true-ing and tune-up since last Wednesday, and a few days ago when I took it our for a test ride I pulled a muscle in my back hanging it up in the garage. Very embarrassing. But from what I have ridden, it handles smoothly. I usually ride a Schwinn Continental (73), so adjusting to MTB dimensions at first feels pretty strange. I will update more when I am healed and take the Defiant out on a proper ride.
