1992 TREK 5500 OCLV

Gravybooby

Retro Newbie
This is my sweet sweet ride. It was purchased new in '92 and has been in a loft ever since. It was built last year and has yet to be ridden in anger.
TREK's first full carbon with groundbreaking DURA ACE STI running gear.
It is too good for me!

Keep the drool off the bike dude...roll on summer!

This is my 1995 model of the OCLV 5500. I got it for a ridiculously low price.
What do you think it's worth today? Note that it only has Shimano 105 all around.

Looks great mate...looks like original parts and components to a large extent...prices are not brilliant on bikes like these but most have been drastically altered over the years. I have no idea what the value of this is and I don't know what mine is worth either I'm afraid. Where are you?

Re:

I'm from Germany. I'm not gonna sell it. Recently found another 5500 advertised for 850 €, but that's far too much money I suppose.

The bikes are more common in US I expect there are not many about in Germany. There is a top spec 1999 US Postal for sale at $2500 at the moment. Bikes from this period appear to be going up in value though because of hipsters and such:) I want about $6000 for mine....
