So I think where I am landing is….

I’ve found an XTR M900 donor bike for the mechs, Chainset, brakes and Brifters. Syncros stem, bars and seatpost. Mavic 231cd Wheelset and Titanio 200 saddle which I’ve already got.

Black wall Ritchey Z-Max tyres to finish

Thoughts?

My height exactly. From the photo, the only pic of the frame i can see, i would guess it´s close to a 19in, w/a 22.8 top tube. Right or wrong? If so, a tad big for us (i ride bikes w/22.25 top tubes and 135mm stens). I would try a 120 stem and not raise the front much w/ the susp fork.
This Serotta T max is a legend.

Sharing first photos of the build. I’m really pleased. I based it on the MBI review in 1992. The parts are used but good to go. It rides like a bat out of hell. You were right @mpower

I’m sure I’ll tinker a bit. Would be nice to get a set of black Ringle holeys, maybe a black Tioga DL2000 bar and eventually an XTR900 Wheelset.

Bullet with butterfly wings describes it PERFECTLY. Amazing ride and so crazy fast. Zero energy lost when you pedal and they are all day riders too.
