Having done the proper type setting and shadowing for the drive side, I've moved on to the non-drive side. Not much to work from, having only one very poor partial for the non-drive side decal. But enough is there in one or two key areas for me to judge how the shadowing should be.

Looks damn close to original from I can remember. And the older we get, the more accurate it'll look

a few items trickling in to finish this. bought a bunch of Ti hardware for both the RM and Merlin. also picked up a bag of f.mech pulleys as i need a few for the RMs i have. think they'll keep the cable in place as well as the dirt out.

received a nice NOS original RM branded Vetta saddle. so i'm debating if i should keep with the Syncros Ti seatpost and Ti Flite saddle, or perhaps use this Vetta with the original Syncros seatpost in black i was using. with the Ti Syncros and Flite, i'd be saving significant amount of weight, especially as the black Syncros post is CRAZY long in length. but the Vetta and orig Syncros may be better in line look wise? :?

Bike is all cabled up… finally! Had to wait for some black teflon liner for the exposed cable runs across the top tube. Last thing to address are grips. I ordered and received Ritchey WCS Truegrip foam, and some KCNC EVA foam grips (same stuff as the discontinued Titec Pork Rinds). Decided to try the KCNC as it was somewhat denser/thicker than the Ritchey. Didn't think the Ritchey would be adequate comfort wise for a rigid fork setup. Faced the logo on the grip downward so it's not seen.

Also have some ESI grips on order which I might switch to when I receive them. They seem to be very popular and recommended for providing good comfort and performance. Plus they come in multitude of colours and several thickness. And they look very non-descript, perfect for a retro build I think.

Thoughts???

While I was at it, installed a set of NOS Syncros Pro-Horns bar-ends I had set aside for something special.

Outdoor shots soon… weather permitting. Forecast is rain for today. Would love to take this out for a quick spin.
