But purple for myself, it's just not for me. :?1st gen stem is on my 91 Altitude, as well as the matching period seatpost with the "T" cross beam. for my Titanium being one year later, i felt it appropriate to move to the next gen stem, as the 92 catalogue has that version on the Altitude. plus this stem i felt was more in line with the Ti seatpost and handlebar i settled on. XT cranks would not be appropriate given the XTR kit on the bike, and I just have no attraction to Ritchey Logic cranks whatsover. It's 1992, so XTR and the correct year Syncros all the way here. Catalogues are all wrong to what they actually came with.
Leavete purple or get a black permanent marker and colour them in.
I used permanent markers all the time BitD to anodise bolts and things. Worked really well, so well I forgot some where like that and just thought it was worn fadded anodising

finally got fed up with the purple nipples so swapped wheelset. not as nice as the other set, and the rear is a wider m261 rim, but hey the purple is now gone! :roll:
also swapped in a perforated grey flite saddle and added a rollamajig to the r.mech.
