?1992 Rocky Mountain Hammer on Gumtree

I’m fairly sure it was a ‘92, I think the Deore components on it were original but the bike had been altered about a fair bit by the previous owner. Good luck with the restoration though, the bike was too small for me so I sold it on but I remember being impressed with how light it was and the quality of the ride.

The lightness of it and ride quality both surprised me tbh, I heard they were good riding bikes but that was one of the nicest rides I had on a bike that hasn't been properly set up for me. I'm 5'10'' and so the frame's just right. The stem is a little on the long side for me though, is it the original?

Iirc yes, I didn’t change the stem - just painted it to match the frame.
It was a nimble little bike but I found the riding position and stretch to the bars a bit too extreme for me..
Enjoyed it while I had it though
