1992 REKTEK Titanium - lightweight project

Sebastian

BoTM Winner
Hi,

here is anonther REKTEK from 1992.

It's my first classic lightweight project and nearly completely equipped with REKTEK-parts.

I will mount the following REKTEK-parts: stem (NOS), bar (used), 7-speed cog-set (NOS). I will not mount the bar ends (not for sale) and the brake booster (not shown on the picture; not for sale), because I don't like the look of bar ends and brake booster.

The expected weight is under 8,5 kg, possibly even 8,3 kg!?

Please find attached some teaser… more will follow soon.

Regards
Sebastian

Thanks! :D

I bought the stem from Rod Kirkham (directly from Vancouver), the bar is from a member of the German classic forum mtb-news.de. I got the cog-set and the bar ends from ebay.com. One of the brake booster is from ebay.de and the other one is from a friend.

Please find attached a picture of the unwelcome parts...

Do you need a stem with 1" or 1 1/8"?

Regards
Sebastian

so that is where rod's stem went. you must have asked at the right time.
wouldn't sell it when I asked. then I found out he was clearing some stuff out
and it was gone. :(
the brake boosters would be welcome at my place. :)
I need a 1 1/8" stem if you ever come across one.
I have never seen that file you posted. most interesting.
thanks
roy

it's actually four. ;) pre-dates the three you are referring by a mile. you three didn't even sign up as RBUK users yet!

they don't look half bad. you should at least mount them for show and take a few pics! ;)

Re:

yes i knew of that one as well. i contacted him about helping me with decal dimensions when i was doing my cromo rek tek.
what i meant was now there are currently three posted. not in total. nice to see similar bikes with different builds.
