1992 Raleigh Peak

AndyLS12

Retro Newbie
Bought off a lovely fella in Runcorn called Clint for £100. 100% original parts even down to the inner tubes. Included the Vetta Gel saddle that was losing it's lining unfortunately, Shimano DX rapid fire shifters, all OG spec.

Replaced the tyres and inners, put on some new Oury grips as the originals actually disintegrated in my hands on first ride. New DMR V8 pedals (replacing the Shimano DX PDM-550's that were too small for my feet) and a new Charge seat. Still have all the original parts I may do something else with / sell on if people are interested.

All that's left I want to do is give it a good service and replace the old inner/outer cables. Rides like a dream!!!

That looks great,I had seen that on eBay. They ride really well.Bars could do with rotating forward maybe ? To lift the ends up. Regarding seat I'm sur with gorilla glue the edges would stick back under saddle,I've had to repair a few like that.

Looks great. I did see this, but Runcorn was a bit too far for a bike which would have been a tad small for me to add to my Raleigh off-road series collection. Definitely interested in the pedals/tyres if you want to shift them.

I have one, though is in need of some care as had an issue with type pressure which destroyed the rim of the rear wheel 20220322_170036.jpg
