Just to add to your confusion I remember having to put a slimmer seatpost on one of my Elites. Can’t think what size now, 30 something

I’ve re measured and actually the internal diameter of the seat tube is 31mm so I’m guessing 30.9mm post required? Handy if anyone has the correct smaller size like this to confirm my suspicion????

Sounds about right, it ember it being upper 30’s, don’t have the frame anymore. Sold it with the seatpost to make life easier for the seller. But I had a 31.6 seatpost and it would never fit, not even close

This arrived today, Frame number A2040122, 10 years on from when Ed posted it on here, and sold it. Well the buyer had it on his wall for 10 years. Anyway, its come into my possession, planning to start a build thread in the coming weeks. Managed to find the correct sized seatpost and a spare orange Ti saddle. Not sure what line of build yet, possibly a weight weenie, for a change!
