1992 Kona Lava Dome - yet another one.

My contribution to the Kona Preservation Society ... yet another Black 1992 Lava Dome .



Given to me by a friend who didn't want it anymore ... stored in the loft for over 10 years ... finally stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with a few upgraded parts.

Nothing wrong with an early 90's Lava Dome - the tool of fun and adventure for many a Canadian boy and girl in the golden age of mountain biking.

Always good to see a Kona saved a lovely example especially in the all black colour scheme.

Yeah something about early Konas ... they just look 'right' and ride really well. Glad I had the chance to save this one and also gave me the opportunity to find & fit some parts I've always wanted to own; specifically the Syncros SP and Hope wheelset ...
