Fairly long story cut short....bought first mtb in 1993 (blue 92 Kona kilauea 19") then sold it circa 95. Fast forward 20 years and my lad, then aged 6ish gets into riding and drags me back into it, probably (definitely)a lot more seriously than in the 90s. Since then (2015ish) I always thought I'd love to have a 92 Kilauea for purely nostalgic purposes. After a few years of looking in eBay but not putting much effort in, a mate says try a wanted ad on 'retrobike.co.uk'. so I did and less than 3 days later I'm driving to somerset to collect a 2/3rds ready 92 kilauea from @dandy1!!! Awesome condition, restored lovingly and just needing wheels and tyres, plus a few bits to complete. Finally done so and mounted on the wall in the room where I produce my art, which is quite inspiring. Big thanks to Dan for selling me this beaut. He'd had a beautiful ppc job done on the frame. I will ride it in summer but not on anything more aggressive than a fireroad

Only thing not retro is the saddle (which I like as a colour match) (and chain , cassette and cables etc) and it's not original spec but I'm not that bothered, just pleased to own one!!!
