1992 GT Pantera frame - Large

My very first 'proper' mountain bike was one of these, same colour as well. Probably go cheap.

I had a Karakoram with that colour scheme as my first serious MTB. Great bike but was stolen when I was in Bristol. U-Brakes are awesome!

Did go cheap, mine for £24 :D

Weird thing is I dont like fat tubed alloy GT's, what was I thinking :?

Maybe it'll grow on me like orange mold

Good a place as any for a first post, I suppose...

I had one of these that was stolen a few years back - same colour too :) (It was either that or silver-ish, that year). Nice bike, if a little odd in the groupset mix and having no replaceable dropout was not so handy.

From memory, the original spec was:

LX front and rear mech and rapidfire shifters. 500LX cranks, XT cantilevers, deore u-brake at the back, ritchey vantage sport rims laced to a hub just marked 'shimano' so don't know what spec that was. Pretty sure it wasn't LX, though. I could swear it also had an orange gt stem with the front brake cable going through it, but nothing in any of the catalogues seems to show that... Maybe there was a difference between UK and other spec?

If that frame had been 18", I'd have been fighting you for it :) Guess I'll just have to keep looking out for a zaskar (or xizang) frame instead...
