Oh it looks very sorry for itself doesn’t it? Stripped crank extractor threads on one side and hideous bodge to broken mech hanger.
But I can’t let it go, let’s see if it can be saved?
That’s rough! Fortunately I removed the bb using a vice without too much drama but this might take a bit more engineering!
I offered up various spare mech hangers until I found one that not only fitted but covered the previous owners drill hole from where he bolted through his steel mech hanger..
Don’t need that bit.
Mech hanger bolts are basically the same as chainring bolts so I went through my stash and found a nut and bolt with correct lengths. Tried a hub to check clearances etc.
Where the previous hole was I marked and then tapped an M5 bolt to hold the mech hanger in position. Belt and braces..
Should be good to go now..
