Carrying on from Retrobikeguy’s thread in MTB eBay & Marketplace Watch viewtopic.php?f=4&t=395241
I thought I’d ought to start a thread here in Readers Rides.
Not much to report other than we got it much cheaper than originally advertised, It’s almost all there except the seat clamp QR is an aftermarket jobbie.
Bike had a quick clean/lube and a check over of cables etc, few slight tweaks, set the saddle to Jimmy’s height and off we went.
This bike will get the full-on House of Peachy treatment that it deserves but not until Jim’s Lotus is finished, at least this way he has something to kick up the dust with this Summer.
Jim wants to go Back to Black but I’m not so sure, this green version seams pretty rare and as he will out grow it the bike probably isn’t a long-term keeper, so I’m thinking a bit of history should be kept on if at all possible.
Anyway, here are some photos of what we did today, you’ll notice as its Easter Sunday he gets an egg at the top!
