Hi

Nice bit of swirly wirlyness going on there

Will let you down ever so gently by saying that these were generic Taiwanese frames imported and used by various brands/ shops

Claud Butler had one out and Diamondback too

So like any Cannondale today? I'm not that disappointed, I paid £75 for it, it had a nice condition Rolls Saddle, and Mavic M231s (with Maxxis tires with lots of tread) which would probably make the money back alone as well as the Deore LX/ II Group set, and a new BB which was why I had to buy this in the first place, my Steel 531 Claud Butler died due to a completely seized bottom bracket, I have the MT62 '89 brakes too, but not on yet (a complete pain to set up!) It rides really nicely

Oh, these were everywhere at one point with Altus C10 all the way up to XTR, some friends even used the smaller ones as jump frames

MT62 brakes are super easy to set up, you have not earnt any retro points if you havent managed to set these up without at least one grazed knuckle, a divorce and a night in Bournemouth

They were also clipping my heels on the back whilst riding when i used on the Claud Butler 531 as I remember, so bought these cheap for a tenner, mainly for the front hanger that came with it, but they also work nicely and look alright so decided to give them a go on both front and rear and not just on rear as first intended, I may get a set of the slightly later low profile ones, need to be chrome finish though, the adjustment grub Allen bolts had stopped working too, that's all been fixed now so may put up with the minor heel clipping as I do prefer the look of them by far

The Renthal Bars are also nice, they have a pair for 65 quid on eBay atm, yeah I think i remember one of these bikes/ frames in the local bike shop when I think back now, it was a while ago!

A very nice paintjob👌 Though it may not be as nice as the quality of a handmade frame it’s still a great bike and a great find for £75. I kinda want one with that paintjob now😎
