Full degrease on both shifters to bring them back to working life. Full of gummy grease. Now working silky smooth again.

Despite cleaning all those parts, that e-cloth is in remarkable condition!

Great work and great use of a very bright cloth otherwise everything blends into your worktop!

I enjoy a good cleaning session

I've got a complete* XTR groupset clad bike to strip down and clean, just no time to do it currently. Parts not as minty fresh as displayed here however.

*it's complete but not quite complete in the true definition of the word (typical!)

The components are in remarkable condition. Looks like the bike had a pampered life.
Was it a case that it had an older owner from new? And not a teenage owner riding it to within an inch of its life, constantly swapping components?!

Edit: reread your first page, so the owner was mid 30’s when he bought it new. Definately not a teenage thrasher then.
