1991 Serotta T-Max

Devout Dirtbag
Just finished my Serotta T-Max, it was sold to me as a 1991 but I dont have any idea of the actual manufacture date. I had some Mavic parts from a Cannondale that had been sitting for a decade in bike shop purgatory and decided to try to make a relatively full Mavic MTB build.
Frame and fork came from eBay with the seatpost and stem fused to the frame. I spent a full week using caustic soda to burn out the post and stem. I finally had it painted by Allan Wanta a year or so ago. I changed the color from the factory yellow to a fluorescent Orange to Pink fade that I think was more of a Serotta road bike color scheme. I also had him braze on a front derailleur hanger, my buddy's T-Max has an issue with the band clamp sliding and I had a brazeon Mavic front that I could use. I found a set of Mavic Paris Gao Dakar wheels and some butterfly thumb shifters on eBay and I was off to the races.

Thanks, I have eggbeaters on all of my bikes. I was lucky enough to used this pair of original SL's that my buddy bought for another project. That is the actual seat, they did kevlar Flites in a number of colors including yellow, red and blue and I think ther were a few more. This was also for another project but looked better on this bike so that is where it ended up.
