Yes we are very lucky to have some of the best trails right out our door (we have nothing on Durango though). Anyone here is welcome to come explore and I would be happy to play host!

After many final tweaks I am to excited to finally share the final photos of the Alpinestar Ti Mega build.

Thank you to everyone here that has helped play a part in making this build a reality. Because of how many rare bits are on this bike, it literally took us finding and purchasing 3 Ti-Megas to complete this build. Given that there are only about 60 in the world, you can imagine that this was no small task. (Anyone here who has attempted a Ti-Mega build will understand).

Many folks here are going to say that we should of kept the Ti Fork on the build (I agree it looks better) butI want to make our intentions perfectly clear: Our goal was to build a period correct 1991 Alpinestar Ti-Mega, not a '92. I have seen a couple great '92 builds (Mr_ships and sinnett177) but I haven't seen a '91 yet.

Since this bike was the actual bike on the cover of Mountain Bike Action in 91, we wanted to keep that integrity in place. Who knows, someday we may want to do an exact build of the bike as it sat on the cover.. If we kept the Ti fork on the bike it would have made this bike a 92 which is not what the bike is.... it is a 91 and true to being period correct we kept the fork on it that came with it.

So, here she is, all polished up and finished off with some sexy black valve caps:
