1991/92 Grove Innovations Assault

Proud of this new addition to my personal Grove Innovations line up. I've been on the hunt for an Assault for a long time and since large frames don't come around too often when one popped up I snagged it. At the time the frame was stripped bare and had a coat of ugly green primer on it. After a long while debating on what color scheme to go with I ended up with this multi color fade with some classy splatter. The build is a fairly clean Suntour XC-PRO which will be converted to MD as soon as the MD specific spider for the Hotrod cranks comes in. Enjoy!

I haven't had a chance to get it dirty yet, but fully intend for this to be a rider!

have you got a thread of the build? any pics of the bike before and during the respray would be great. Where was it sprayed or did you do it yourself?

No sorry, I don’t really do build threads too well. I did the actual build in a day once the frame was painted and so there wasn’t a big ole buildup of parts and stuff, just sort of went together.

It was painted by Darkmatter Finishing in Colorado.
