Sorry to hijack your thread, but I thought you may find this amusing/interesting.
My first proper Mountain bike was a 701LX same colour scheme as the frame you picked up. Loved it!
I did, however, always want a Vit T2, so one day back in the mid 90's me and my mate decided that if we could get hold of the Vit T2 decals through his connections with an Orange Main dealer, we'd knock up a couple of replicas. Off we both went to get our frames sprayed in the most similar titanium-ish colour we could find, which if my memory serves me correctly, was a VW gold/silver. Anyway the spray job was by a car spray shop and wasn't powder coated, so every stone that came my way on a ride eventually led to a rust spot. A dead give away on a Ti frame
Eventually I had an off on it and slightly bent the top tube. I'm sure this is fine as its so minor, but I hung the frame up in my Mums garage and decided this weekend to dig it out to see if anyone wanted it or if i should restore it as a project...
