Sorted the wheels out tonight. LX M550 silver hubs on Araya RM20 silver rims. Serviced the hubs and freewheel, retensioned and trued the wheels. Looking good. Just need a bit of patina removal to get the up to standard.
I love splash paint jobs on bikes. The great thing about them is if you ever get chips in the paint just match the color of the splash and touch up. Nobody will ever know.

Very pleased with how these have turned out. The rear bearings were perfect but still had new ball bearings installed and general clean up. The front cones were badly pitted so had new cones and ball bearings fitted. Gave the hubs a polish with a SS brush as they had a fair bit of patina from years of neglect. Both wheels needed to be retensioned and trued which I have done myself and made a pretty fine job of it I think. The freewheel was removed and cleaned through and soaked in oil over-night. Nice and clicky! The skewers had a dab of Autosol to bring them back to life.
Frame has finally arrived after its long slow cross-Atlantic journey. The serial number suggests it is a 1991 (thank you Anthony) model made by Fairly Bike Co. So pleased with its condition. The paint is vibrant and only a few scratches which can easily be sorted. The size is 20" with a 22.5" top tube so will fit me nicely. A few bits to source - seatpost and seat binder but the rest of the bits I have already gathered together. My theory that the 3 models share the same frame are further confirmed. The Parkpre decals are over lacquered where as the Catalyst decal is not. Will let the pictures do the talking...
