1990 Marin Team Titanium - updated 5th June page 3

Good to see things moving on this one, I think this is going to become my favourite out of the fleet. ;)

Thanks for the appreciation so far.

As promised, here are some better pictures. The wheels are to be ignored other than their colour scheme. Their destiny lies elsewhere.

The rear mech will get polished along with the front mech, before final fitting.

An update, and some significant changes to the build so far. It's very nearly finished, but I couldn't resist a few shots with the new camera.

I decided against the Maguras, instead opting for Black XT cantis and the combined shifters. Furthermore, I sold my White porc collection and went for the original Marin Rockstar tyres. The wheels were sold and some Black XT/Araya RM17's replaced them.

I still have gear cables to sort and pedals to rebuild, plus Black alloy nipples to put in the wheels.

Oh, and tyres to clean - somehow!

looking good, the black XT stuff is just right, knew it would be. I'd like to see an SRP seat clamp bolt on it after seeing one the other week. Good luck finding one though.

Re:

Mr Marin, great write up which I'm late to reading. Always liked your Marin brother bikes pic, partly inspired me many moons ago to collect certain retro bikes (inc Marins- the 94 FRS mainly!) exceptional work.

SP

And another picture with its younger brothers...

Wow - a '6 year dead thread' resurrection!

They've a few more brothers since that photo was taken too. I did detail this bike further, and then show it a few times at Iconoclassic. I should put some fresh pics up as it looks loads better now.

That would be cool to see, I'm very much into my Marin as well.
