Most of the course on the second vid looks in better condition and generally smoother than the roads around here at the moment. Only at the end would he really need the technology. Do they use the same route each year or does it vary? If the riders were spinning out 60 tooth chainrings back in the day, it would be interesting to see how much times have improved.
