1989 Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt

BBell

Retro Newbie
Original owner selling a classic Mountain bike.

Handmade by Derek B. Size 19.5" which is equivalent to todays large frame sizes. Color is now charcoal grey. it was painted in late 90's after Rocky repaired a crack in the toptube. Original color was orange and blue. Tried to post some pics but I am having trouble uploading pics to webpage.

here is a list of components on it now. The parts have evolved over the years. Originally I rode this fully rigid and still have the rigid fork which will be included in sale . Now the bike has a Marzocchi Bomber 55 front fork (2002 edition). it has all Shimano XT and xtr parts. Unfortunately, I do not have the Shimano shifters anymore, as I installed Sachs pistol grips in the late 90's. Here is a list of the parts on it now.

Handmade 1989 rocky thunderbolt frame (Size 19.5 inches ===large)
marzocchi Bomber 55 suspension fork (2002 edition)
Cook Brothers cranks
shimano XT front and rear derailer
deore xt brakes levers and XTR V_brakes
axiom stem
axiom suspension seatpost (makes me laugh thinking about it)
fsr headset
WTB seat (leather is very faded)
rooX bars

I Will consider all serious offers and will ship bike to new owner at their expense.

I am located in Golden BC Canada

Bruce is asking £400/$600USD/$750CAD

Pics (note very small dent in top tube shown on first image).....

I have an offer pending. If for some reason the deal falls thru I will reopen the sale. Thanks to all those who showed an interest.

That went quick! I guess I'm not surprised...reminds me of the furry that ensued to get my thunderbolt.
