1989 Marin Bear Valley

My then girlfriend/now wife had a '89 Bear Valley, but a 15" frame - the one with the 'U-Brake' under the chainstays

She had it for about 15 months, then a friend swapped it for his 'Aluminium O'!

He still has it as a 'winter bike', but now with cantilevers on the seat-stays, mudguards, slicks & resprayed

Great bike!! The older Marins looked far better than they did in later years.

This one has a really simpel and beautiful design.

...but I also like the Marins from 90-92 with neon like colours. In 94-96 I worked in a shop who sold Marins and by then their great designs was gone.
