This is my 1989 Giant Expedition. The plan is to build up a old touring frame with modern parts. Version 1 will be a parts bin version.
After striping the bike I polished the frame and sprayed it with rust protector on the inside. Already fitted the front and rear mech.
So far the only new part a Tange headset.
Front and rear mech are deore xt M8000
Fitted a tripple crank for now and the wheels that came with the bike so a 6 speed freewheel. A pair of thumbies makes it work for know. Even found some used outers that fitted.
Thats how far I got today rode a few meters but the front tube is gone and I only had 26 inch tubes...
