1989 F. Moser Corsa (Finished pics)

Re:

It's just the brake levers that need replacing really, but only because I couldn't get the hoods to come up clean. I'm tempted to change it all over to sti shifters at some point but I'll stick with the down tube ones for now, they seem to be functioning well.

Re:

Well I managed to get a decent 105 headset and get the forks and bars on. I also have a Rigida front wheel on it but I'm still looking for a decent wheelset. Progress is slower than I'd hoped but that's as a result of my non existent budget. Still need cables, brake pads and ideally new levers. I have a saddle and seat post number 3 should be here next week, After finding that 27.2 was too big, so was 27.0 I hope 26.4 is third time lucky, I'm such an amateur

Re:

Thanks for the heads up. It's just typical as they were listed 5 minutes after I'd bought some Modolo ones on ebay. I may consider buying the 105's anyway so I have the matching set as an option. Cheers.

Re:

Depending on the postman the bike should be taking shape by the end of the week. The sale of my disc wheel provided enough to order all the remaining parts so I'm eager to get the toolbox out and get it done. :D

Re: My F. Moser Gumtree find

If your interested in selling the old 105 levers please let me know, nice moser by the way, does it have the bent arrow cut out of the bb shell or slots?

Re:

It has the bent arrow cut out under the BB shell. There's a story behind that actually...When I bought it I had no idea what I was looking at really (except it was a decent quality bike), so me and the guy that advertised it were going over the good/bad points, I'm obviously looking to knock him down on the £95 asking price. So, I was umming and arring "That seat post is going to be trouble"..."It really is in a mess"...I turn it over and look underneath "Blimey, look at that big gouge out of the BB shell". He hadn't seen it before and thought the same as I did, the frame is buggered. So I reluctantly gave him £75 for it, took it home and cleaned off the half inch of gubbins and revealed the 'bent arrow'. Only then did I try to find out more about the bike on google, and that's how I ended up here on Retrobike.

The Levers might be available, I'll assess what's surplus to requirements once I get the bike together and let you know if I decide to sell them. Cheers.

Re: My F. Moser Gumtree find

Bent arrow is the 51.151 World record logo that moser set meaning it could well be a 51.151 model which makes a 75 quid investment an absolute steal. Im no expert on them but I did some research when I was looking to buy one.

Re:

That's good to know, thanks. I've found very little info about it myself, the only other I've seen was a frame that sold on ebay.
