I'm just enjoying the workshop tour! Lovely build, can't wait to see this one out in the sunshine.
Well you’ve seen the loft, the store and the workshop, you’ll have to wait till the end before you see the bike cave….

That's going to be a nice machine when it's done.
Cheers Allen…You sprayed that Claud Butler yet?
As mentioned last night, the bottom parts of the rail clamps were very pitted with rust.
So after a night bathing in Evaporust I gave them a quick squirt of matt black acid etch, not having any matching silver grey. I think they sit well enough with the black rails of the Fizik Gobi XM (Our Jimmy wanted something modern with a certain amount of give)
Tyres arrived today, a tidy pair of 25mm Schwalbe Lugano’s… I’d read that these Ambrosio Super Elites were a little tricky to fit tyres to, but I had no problem with using just one plastic lever.
First crack at the cockpit cabling, tried having the gear cable at the back so as not to get the ridge under the palm from when the gear is brought over to the front, but Jimmy preferred the feel of the bars when both were at the front and recons he uses his purlicue more than his wrist when on the hoods. I’m happy with lengths and where the all important “Campagnolo” logos are… I think I’ll sleep on it. Oh and you might have noticed I’m sticking with the right hand lever operating the front brake, we are British after all……
