That's really cool!...sharp lines.

I think there was a test of one of these frames against a Klein (and possibly something else) in a really old MBUK ('89-90?)...all I can remember is the paint job was a kinda white with green splashes (possibly)...oh and the rear triangle didn't seem quite as sorted as your example...

I seriously love this bike, it just looks perfect. I love Grove's, and I think these must be the English reply to them. ;-)

Only very recently discovered this small ad in an 1989 MBUK - now my Roberts has a name - it's a 'Stratos'!

I suspect mine is an earlier 1989 incarnation having Track 2s as standard fit, not the curved (suspect Ritchey Logic) forks in the ad.

Sticking with the original paint - it grew on me(!), I'm about to fit some RC35s - as it's a bit too rigid come summertime....

Brilliant bike!! Not sure if this is of any interest to you Mr K but there's a very cool Roberts Stratos on the cover of the Midsummer 1990 edition of 'Mountain Biker'

wow, i wasnt going mad, i was sure i remembered this bike on the cover, of mountain biker.... :shock:

DOSSA---- great find, does it give any more detail on the bike or the frame, i do also remember a full review, but im buggered if i can remember what mag it was in.

If anyone has any mag reviews on this model, im sure we would all love to see a lot more..., :shock:
