1989 Cannondale M900 'Red Shred' - FINISHED!

Yeah,
its way nicer than the one i had in my first ever cannondale,
The first one looked like a piece of cut off bic pen lid!
Would do the job just as well though ;)

I either would do me for now, I want to get the damn thing finished! Looks like stew had a different one on his build too in the photo above...... I wonder if my girlfriends 93 m900 has one, that's running canti's too.... I wonder if she'd notice if I borrowed it!?

Good plan!........ Just been to check and realised that she has force 40's so no ferrules involved. I've posted up an ad in the wanted section, let's hope the good people of retro b ike will save the day!

Beautiful bike! Glad to see you're running Aztec pads, too. They were all anyone seemed to use in the early nineties :) .

Thanks mate, I'm really looking forward to getting it finished, I wouldve killed for this bike when it came out! I was eleven and I was riding a 21 inch Raleigh massif...... With Aztec pads! I'm actually looking for some bolt on period XT pads for the u brake to match the front but only for aesthetics, I doubt this will get ridden too much....... I'd be too scared to wreck it!

Haha, I doubt I'll be able to resist a few fair weather rides mate! I'm not worried about it snapping, I've had a few dales and have never cracked one despite serious abuse! I'm just aware of how scarce this bike is that's all, I've never seen another or even found a photo of another on the web! I doubt there's another out there in this condition.......

Your right enough though bud, there will be very few left that are still in that condition, it is gorgeous
I bet there are a few shed's/garages with a couple sitting in the back, covered in stoor , forgotten & unloved :(

Ive just fitted a Nos ritchey logic comp leather saddle from 1991, looks fantastic, a nos HG chain, set the front brakes and mechs up and adds another coat of wax! All that she needs now is that bloody ferrule! Not had much joy in the wanted section either! Damn, so close yet so far!
