1989 Brodie Romax

About time we saw it here Shamus ;) A great original example and a nice build to complement the frameset, without stealing show

I like your sensible way to deal with paint defects. Oh, and that bike is gorgeous.

Its true Thias, I believe original paint should be preserved if at all possible. Despite the large scratches and bare metal patches showing, the bike must have been stored indoors because there was no rust to speak of. So at that point, some light sanding, dabs of primer and application of colour-matched paint was good enough for me.

I am a fan of patina. Not lazy, honest! ;)

Patina gets my vote... looks great Shamus

Re:

Love it.

Are they like a curved gatorblade fork? They remind me of the curved P2 Joe Murray put on the first Fire Mountain (sorry, not meaning to compare them to a cheap fork....they look top notch as any fork in a gatorblade style would :)).
