1989-1990 Sunn Mountain

Firstly, Sunn made BMX in aluminum. They made their first mtb in 1988/1989 with U brake and a very sloping frame with the same philosophy as their BMX.
This bike is a 2th production, welded near Saint Gaudens in the Pyrénées. Rear canti brakes, less sloping top tube but still the big bmx BB.
Full Mavic groupset (a bit anachronistic) and CLB brakes. Hope to find Reydel GTI saddle and some Belleri handlebar and stem for being the most frenchie as possible.

Hey pretty cool bike! Wasn't aware that they made alu frames that early and with a slopping top tube.

Any chance you can upload pics of BB and rear seat stays?

That tob tube is so cool being so beefy! It could be for 1 1/4 headset instead of 1 inch?

What headset us that? The front brake cable looks very close to the headset/headtube as it exits the roller! Might just be the camera angle.

Amazing and with very nice components like that Mavic RD, in that era I bought my first MTB, a 10 speed one all steel even the rims. I was a bit young.

Really nice! I'm still after an 6001/6002/6003 made of Vitus MTB tubing. The 7000 series made of Excell tubing were so easy to break...
