I knew I'd first got hooked on bicycles, specifically MTBs in 1988 (hence my highly thought-out username), but couldn't quite remember how or where.
Luckily I recently found some old photos from when I went to visit my Dad in Scotland in spring '88 (I was 14, parents separated, I'd moved to London) and remember how cool these Reflex MTBs were.
We'd hired out MTBs before earlier that year, and I remember getting a yellow Saracen, and my Dad got a Muddy Fox Courier. But it was this later visit that I remember because the guy hiring the bikes out was quite proud of his recent American purchase of Reflex bikes. It's just a pity I didn't look quite as cool myself back then...
I remember we did a really distant Munroe that day using the bikes to cut a few hours off the overall walk time.
Any members here own this same model of bike ?
