1988 Pine Mountain

my 18" 1988 Pine Mountain is for sale. Looking for £150, based in the Chichester area, (but I do travel to London weekly)

I originally started off cycling Marins, so bought this some time ago on an nostalgic whim, as I loved the ride and feel of the bike in it's day. But alas I have too many distractions to give it full justice, and it must go.

It has lots of original spec items:
Marin Cromoly roller stem
Deore Headset
Original tapered butted spinner forks
Deore crankset and derailleur
XT pedals and cages
Deore brakes
XT hub rear 7spd with Mavic rim
Deore front hub with Araya RM20 rim

and a few upgrades:
Club roost duralamium bars
XTR pod shifters and brakes
Mavic Bottom bracket

I am including the original Deore thumbshifters and 4 finger Deore brake levers too, if you wish to retro fit them. The frame is in great condition, other than some Jo Burt bromance stickers it's in good shape, with usual cable wear but no dings or damage .

I don't think the pictures due the lilac silver paintwork justice on this model. For a late 80s bike these are surprising lively to ride too, no doubt down to the prestige tubing. Bit of a bargain IMO for what is a pretty rare bike. Good luck !

Sold..and very quick sale for a low asking price or rarity I'm unsure of which. Vinevo will be happy riding the trails on this, a real joy with the relaxed frame angles and Tange Prestige tubing.

Sad to see it go, but as you're all aware you have realistically to let go of your nostalgia at some point.
