1988 Orange Prestige in great condition considering its age

This was my father's bike that he bought new back in the day. It's almost all original, the only parts that aren't are the handlebars and tyres. I've had it as a project for ages but never got around to rebuilding it.

Very nice indeed although it will be 89+ I'd have thought as almost certain they only produced the clockwork in 88.
 
On reflection I think it must be later than 1988. I'm trying to date it based on other memories and I know that my dad got it and built it up while I was still living at home and I left in 1991 and had put the mountain biking on hold for the year before that while I did my A-Levels. If it's not 1988 or 1989 it must be 1990. It can't be later than that though.
