I really wanted to share this with you:
This project started with a "well loved" frame set that was rescued from the damp Pacific Northwestern US.
Gauging by the nicks and chips, it appeared to have previously enjoyed a full life of rewarding service
When it landed in my hands, the original finish had already been stripped away, exposing the beautiful hand-worked fillet brazing of Tom Teesdale
Over the winter of 2013 - 2014, I set out to build my adventure bike. Something I had been scheming about for years. A vintage fillet-brazed camouflage dirt drop "Commando".
I enjoyed the process so much, I was really sad when it all came together. Although I was really pleased with the end result.
