Re: 1988 Cannondale SM1000 Red Shred

Hmmmn, I will ask to post individually next time then!

Anyway I have yet to fit but they look good quality only comment would be the anodising on one side of each of them is a little thin/patchy, should mostly be covered by the cable I suppose, how are yours?

Had a few hours to spare today, so went to Tesco and selected a suitable sponge £1, here are some progress pics

Cut out my tracing and stuck to frame and started sponging!

Cheers, just waiting on tyres now to complete, fitted the Kenda's I had and they looked wicked but hardly any tyre clearance, never mind, they will grace my mates kos cruiser instead this summer so not wasted.

Yipee! It's finished at last!

Should have completed this a week or so ago but managed to get a proper man flu, a real kick in the b@#ocks this flu/bronchitis with the added bonus of a chest infection for good measure, lovely!

Anyway enough of my moaning, here's some quick pics....

Fantastic job mate. Saw the pics with the white one's and reckon the amber walls are the right choice :)

Thanks guys I'm really chuffed with the way it turned out too, it's even taken top spot in my man cave now and pushed the Klein out into the office!

Yeh the white wall tyres were just a little too big and only just cleared the ubrake and forks, they looked great but maybe a bit ott.

There are some fantastic builds and some great people on this site, it's been fun to be a part of keeping these old bikes alive!
