Clear coated fillet brazed project sounds cool. Be good to see that.

Many years ago I used gun browning on a filet brazed frame. I then used boiled linseed oil, then semi gloss clear. The browning was wiped on and cured with a propane torch, then stacked behind our hot wood heater for several days. It was real nice, unique deep brown, but this is difficult to do evenly, needs touch up coats. I think it would look good on a maggot bike where acid removed rust and there is still some paint. It would be easier as any uneven browning would fit right in. Here is one someone else did with gun barrel browning. I robbed it from another bicycle blog.
