1988/89 Carrera GT Epic

Cracking transformation there! Those frames do clean up well - I did one a couple of years back and it looked dreadful but with a bit of TLC it came up a treat. Just about to dig it out of storage as a winter ride.

I notice yours is a GT.......any ideas what that means? Frame-wise it looks identical to mine. Must be a component level spec thing?

Thanks for the comments, yep I’m chuffed with how it’s come out too.
Yours came up really nice too, I like your wheel choice and the mint colour bar tape - mine had white to mint fade bar tape on it from new I think.

Yeah, no idea! A quick google check shows 50/50 split between gt and non gt models but the spec looks identical - I’m guessing a marketing gimmick to make it seem sportier maybe?

Good on you man. I picked up a Mitica at the start of the year and it instantly became my preferred perch. So well made!
As you say, at that price you really can't go wrong. Looking forward to comparing the Storica myself (the honey looks great in the flesh)
