1988, 89 and 90 Doug Bradbury Manitous

Re:

Hey what can I say, wisdom takes years to develop.

I sold the Manitou to buy a Team Fat Chance Comp because I thought the fit would be better. Which fairly promptly was stolen.

Regrets, I've had a few...

Re:

Manitous were fantastic.
I rode an FS for a day on the Greek island of Lefkas back in '92 on a Ssshokwave bike holiday.
I would have bought in then and there if it hadn't been so eye watering expensive.
Fab bikes. Enjoy.
I've got a pic somewhere of me and the FS, I'll post it on this thread when I can find it :)

Re:

Cool,,I got one back in 93,,from one of factory team racers after the grundig season was over...paid way more than I could afford,,I loved that bike,,

Here's me BITD taking a photo break from testing a Manitou FS in Greece in '92.
Had it for a full day, it was fantastic, shame I couldn't afford it.

I didn't want to give it back !!!

In the most surreal way possible, I was able track down through multiple owners my original Manitou. Just spent the evening polishing it up with Nevr Dull, still a long ways to go, as it is heavily tarnished (oxidized?)...

This is the same bike as in the pics above, that I sold 25 years ago!!!!
