For sale is my 19" 1987 Ridgeback RX601, There isn't much information about on these and it's not easy to find another example. I assume that this is one of the first mass produced Ridgebacks following the Original Lugged mid eighties Ridgebacks.
The bike has not seen much use over its life as can be seen from the side walls of the rims etc, however there are plenty of chips and scrapes, which have probably happened during 30 years of being moved around a garage or shed. When I got the bike I replaced the inner brake and gear cables, and the rear brake outer cable (as the outer was black). I haven't ridden the bike and think the brake pads would need to be changed before it was ready to ride. The tyres are OK but worn in the centre.
I'd like to sell the bike for £90 posted, which will be at a loss (half what I paid), but I think I probably paid over the odds for it at the time. I need space more than money from this sale so also open to any offers of some parts in exchange for the bike.
Overseas buyers please enquire regarding shipping costs.
please post interest on here and then send me a pm, thanks.
