1987 Moore & Large imported Ross, not Ross

christ! it could be argued that they came from the same factory!

Same down tube cable stops, same position. same Shimano vertical dropouts

Shot-in stays instead just so they are different for the buyer who will stick their own brand name on

The fork is identical too and as for the colour...

Blimey!! Nicest Emmelle I’ve ever seen, Ross were decent too but I never saw any over here, popular “over there” though.

I dont care that you had an Emmelle as your 1st, 3rd or 15th bike - that is not the point of this thread.

This is a Japanese built triple butted fillet brazed (by a nutter) frame and fork, it needs to be celebrated for what it is, not the badge

Moore & Large imported these in a rush to get into the MTB market - sound familiar? Look at Tushingham, Muddy Fox, Claud Butler, etc. Plenty of brand names were plastered onto existing products at the time.

So unless you want a punch in the dick, carry on

The more interesting / concerning question is: Just what is in those fillets? Brass? Bras? The powdered bones of disciplinary actions?
Soo sorry LCF nice frame!
