1987 Marlboro Claud Butler Majestic 2 tandem FINISHED pg13

Those hangers are a bit useless... no other option for cantis on a sus fork though so Vs are the way to go

I'm sure I've got a full set of silver/black XT-M750 levers & brakes hiding somewhere. Just gotta keep digging.

I looked at a brake rocker for my yates but read about fiddly setup and adjustment, not sure on how well they actually work, in the end I found a noodle for my stem hanger so have gone the traditional canti straddle route, I don't have sus forks though. If you have Vs already and are using flat bars then that is what I would go with

I’ve ordered some so I may as well have a go. Right now I can’t find the nice XT v-brakes that I was looking for and can only find a set of really cheap simple M120 circa ‘99 which I only kept as spares for the wife’s road hybrid.
Not really posh enough for Madge..

Remember that Canti's and V brakes need different pull ratio levers, if you are using V's on flat bars (i think you've ditched the drop bars) then regular direct pull brake levers are what you need. if you are retaining the canti's then you'll need flat bar levers that pull a caliper / canti pull ratio.

given you have gone flat bar, going with V brakes seems a no brainer.
