1987 Diamondback Arrival - listed as 26" wheel bike

Not listed as an arrival. Old school slack angles, chainstay U-brake, chunky 'American' style welds. Could look good polished or possibly a good candidate for a custom job with moustache bars or something. If it was a bit closer and I was around to be able to pick it up then I might have had a go myself but I can't so perhaps a nice early aluminium project for someone :D

Although the chainset looks to be a road bike athena, I think that the rear mech is a campy centaur mtb. If so then it could be worth the asking price alone if the condition is OK.

lol Just did a bit of digging around for early aluminium bikes with chainstay U-brake and found ti by luck more than anything.

btw, I spent a bit of time in Hook Friday night...........

Not me! I bid the opening amount and then hoped someone would outbid me as didn't know how I was going to arrange collection!
 
I didn't know diamondback using aluminium in 1987!

It's already got drop-bars hasn't it? Or are they bar-ends?!
