1987/8/9? Mountain Klein build thread

Nice project!

I have a '88/'89 MK in Aurora (see link) and like you couldn't find a spec, so went for an all XC9000 build. However, if I knew that I'd still be looking for parts seven years later I think I might have made a different choice:rolleyes:

That'll look great on this once it's all polished and shiny.

Always love the look of a Ross stem.

Have to say, I kind of back the pink! Not for this build, maybe. But it's kind of amazing in that color. You don't see if often, anyway!

What's the plan for bars?

Obviously this stem means the bullmoose idea has been abandoned...

I liked the bullmoose idea too, but there are plenty of these bikes bullmoosed up already, really wanted this to be a bit more unique, period but with its own personality. Besides the bullmoose are still there, if this stem doesn't work out they will make a nice plan B, with the WTB's a not too shabby plan C.

Yeah, Plan C is definitely a handy alternative to have as a back-up!

Looking forward to the next round of updates and starting to see this build take shape
